Cancellation Policy for Weekly, Biweekly, and Individual Private Music Lessons

1. Lesson Scheduling and Payment

• Weekly and biweekly lessons are scheduled one month in advance.

• Invoices for weekly and biweekly lessons are sent at least one week before the start of the lesson month and must be paid in full to secure lesson times.

• Individual lessons are scheduled on a case-by-case basis and must be paid in advance to confirm the booking.

2. Vacation Cancellations (Weekly/Biweekly Lessons Only)

• Cancellations for vacations must be made at least one month in advance to avoid being charged for the missed lesson(s).

• Late vacation cancellations will not be refunded or rescheduled.

3. Sick Days and Makeup Lessons (Weekly/Biweekly Lessons Only)

• Students are allowed one sick day per three-month period, which can be made up on the designated makeup lesson day.

• Makeup lesson days are held on the second Saturday of January, April, July, and October from 10:00 AM – 1:00 PM.

• If a student cannot attend the scheduled makeup lesson day, they forfeit the makeup lesson—no alternative rescheduling will be offered.

• Students receive only one makeup lesson per three-month period, so they should prioritize their health and attendance accordingly.

4. No-Show and Last-Minute Cancellations

• Weekly and biweekly lessons: If a student cancels a lesson less than 6 hours before the scheduled time or does not show up, the lesson is forfeited and will not be refunded or rescheduled.

• Individual lessons: If a student cancels at least 6 hours in advance, they may choose between rescheduling or receiving a refund. Cancellations made less than 6 hours before the lesson will not be refunded or rescheduled.

5. Instructor Cancellations

• If I need to cancel a lesson, the student may choose between a makeup lesson or a full refund for the missed lesson.
